My name is Luke Hampton. I am a senior at Bellarmine University majoring in Criminal Justice and have a background in physical fitness through CrossFit for over a year and a half and through numerous years of barbell training. This blog is dedicated to high school and college students that haven’t had previous serious barbell training or have lost their physical strength/motivation. Simple Strength Training will highlight the advantages of compound exercises using a barbell as well as what types of exercises students should be engaging in. These advantages include: exercising in relatively short amounts of time while experiencing a good exercise, simplistic movements that don’t require excessive amounts of time to develop good form, and how easy it can be to form a workout schedule.
